AMAZING!!  :-*

Love the roof. How did you do that? Not with a Lazer I bet.  ;)

Sorry mate, only just caught up with thread again. Roof answer is below  :)

The roof itself is a four part resin cast of a single facet. The eighth master was made from MDF (hand cut) at uni over 13 years ago. The master was moulded, I then cast four which got stuck together as they were going to be the rear roof of a pleasure neff (I was even doing it back then to some extent) but it didn't get that far unfortunately. I'll cast this four part master after I've tidied it up somewhat  :)

The whole project will be under review in the coming weeks so it can be seen what to do for Salute, not too much hopefully but you know how these things go  ::) lol

Instead of lots of little pointless posts I waited until there was something decent to show and this takes the form of another completed viaduct section, nearly complete train and another wip viaduct section  :)

Blurry train pictures first. Need highlighting and weathering to be done and then I'll take better pictures.

And now the slightly blurry pictures of the signal station on the viaduct. The flag is removeable just in case someone else wants to look after the railway for a bit  :)

And finally the wip section built on a small mesa.

More to come in the following weeks as I start back at work next week and will have access to the laser  :D

cheers

James

Now that's coming along wonderfully.

Any thoughts on how you'll do the rails yet?

All nice additions Jimbob.  Liking the mesa, I take it you coloured the corners to mask the edges of the stonework when it goes on top?

Many thanks chaps  :)

Quite a few and the experimentation starts next week  o_o

All nice additions Jimbob.  Liking the mesa, I take it you coloured the corners to mask the edges of the stonework when it goes on top?

Nah, it's a lasered edge, the corners of the stonework are blended with liquid greenstuff and although it takes a couple of goes (the bloody stuff shrinks  ::) ) it's the best solution I've found so far.

I'll get some more out of the cupboard later this week as I need to see how much more there is to do.

cheers

Bloody brilliant, mate.
Love the colours, that green contrasts lovely with the stonework.
Great idea with the mesa, adds a nice bit of variety to the build.
 8) :-* 8)

The crazy thing is it continues to grow, (at a much better rate than Crossrail too, by the looks of it!).
Will you be needing a bigger table at Salute this year?
Only asking as, if that is so, the Union will need to be informed as it will soon become a two-man-job, holding up the larger backdrop for this.
 :D
