That was agonizing to watch!  I forgot how much I hated that show.  Give me Space: Above and Beyond any day.

Brian

Of the four later ST series I allways prefered DS9!

But having said that you can't beat Firefly, B5 & Farscape!

Good man!  My three favourite Sci Fi series. Mustn't leave out Dr Who, but that's a different kind of show, so I'm happy to give it it's own category.

Space: Above And Beyond.... Hmmm ... cool space ships and great action sequences, but why would you use elite, highly (expensively) trained pilots as footsloggers  ???

As for Star Trek, I love TOS, enjoyed most of TNG and DS9 but liked it less with each new incarnation. Even Jolene Blalock couldn't save Enterprise for me  :(

Apart from the latest film, which I think is a fantastic return to form  :D

On the contrary, classic qualities of the original series excepted, i thought it got better as it went along, TNG was often very Po faced. I didnt like many DS9 characters-and i often thought that the stories were a bit laboured. I liked the Voyager concept 9and eventually they got rid of kes and replaced her with a much better character in EVERY way-7 of 9. Finally, enterprise had the best sets/effects, often superior stories (I know that some may differ but i like time travel) and just a more realistic vision.

USMC are above all else, RIFLEMEN.  I guess that credo is continued into the future as well.

I liked those:

black/grey movie uniform looked more realistic as military wear then the all in one jumpsuits of DS9/Voyager... for a uniform, each was remarkably tailored, even down to the neck line...

bloody awful episode that one... no wonder the Klingons were winning... you can't fight an armoured enemy hand to hand in a safari suit and pull on shoes... at least the movies gave the security troops armour...

No worse than the one in which armored Klingons with batleths or Bathlets or whatever their swords are called were beaming onto the bridge of DS9, and Sisko and Kira were punching them out.

Oh well, what do you want?  At least there were some battles...

BTW, does anybody do Klingon, Fed, Jem'Hadar infantry in 15 or 28mm scale?

Just in case anyone is interested.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rK6hnma7WMo&NR=1

This part of this episode shows a dying, dirt covered Federation Infantryman with Jake Sisko.

Interestingly, for those nerdy enough to be concerned about it, he asks Jake if he saw any "Star Fleet Patrols."  This says to me that Star Fleet probably does not have a separate army or marine force, but that their ground troops are effectively naval infantry.

Anyway, enjoy.

BTW, watching this scene again, evidently the Federation has found a way to make concentrated water.  Either that, or somebody screwed up pretty badly in designing that canteen.  lol

Also, this is the first time I have heard mention of a transport scrambler.  Do those show up in other episodes?

Which scale?  I'd really love to find some of these guys in 15, though 28 is cool too.

They are 28mm, slightly at the smaller end of the scale, but look good with other 28mm sci-fi figures.
