Five Clay Shapers for £1.99
« on: August 19, 2010, 04:16:53 PM »
I have just picked up a pack of five clay shapers from Lidl (European Discounter store, that operates in the UK) for just £1.99, see my Blog for full details.

Ooh, I was just bemoaning the fact that I couldn't find my clay shaper... thanks.

With regards to the size/shape, does anyone know if you can put silicone through a pencil sharpener? You could recreate the number 2 fairly well that way.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Not that I have a Lidl anywhere near me....but how firm are the tips?  I've a few clay shapers, but would really like a more firm tip to shape with.

The tips of the Lidl shapers are slightly (very slightly) more flexible than the Royal Sovereign ones.

I have no idea if they can go through a pencil sharpener!

Is there any chance someone could pick me up a set or two? ;D
I will send some figures as a thank you, as well as paying for them.

I'll have a look in my local one tomorrow but may have missed with the change around.

If there's more than one set I'll get a couple.

Pick up a crate of Armenian pickled garlic while you are there. It should cost about the same. :)

I'll see if I can get to one of the stores near me later. If they have them I'll grab a few packs.

Awesome; thanks for the heads up! 8)

I cycled over there just now and got the very last one out of the racks. It had been opened, but there were 5 shapers in there and they were undamaged, so good to go. Good show, but I need to shorten the handles a bit for them to fit into my sculpting tool tray...

As an aside; I only paid €1,99 for them. Seems you UK guys are drawing the short end of the conversion table stick this time... :D

To Black cat Bases.

I have one spare set of five.  I picked them up earlier today, at £1.99 for 5.

If you still want them, contact me direct on;
