Help with French

I have downloaded the adaptation form this site

http://lotow.free.fr/breve.php3?id_breve=61

for Gangsters for a quick game with the guys at the club (they are familiar with the rules LOTOW - .45 will come later once I have my character figures painted)

now some of the weapons and things dont translate through Babel fish too well.

I think a Hache is a hachet but some weapons are called in english but others??? e.g. Mincer? could anyone tell me what they are?

Also what are the rules form Showdown for a Tommy gun I begrudge buying the book for £20 just to find the rules for a sub machine gun

in Anticipation :?:

Showdown says to buy Frontier and look at the gattling gun rules, but use the scattergun template.  It's all quite vague and more suggestions than rules.

I don't have Frontier so I don't really understand it too well.

Bistouri = lancet (can be used only by doctors (slang toubib)
Hachoir is a chopper, more than a mincer. It's the tool brandished by the Swedish Chef in the muppets show, when he pursues chickens. Also a classical in horror movies
Hache = axe
Fusil à Pompe / Fusil de Chasse = pump action shotgun / shotgun
Fusil de Précision = sniper rifle

A lancet is a very specialised surgical knife, it's not a standard scalpel (the French for scalpel is le scalpel :) ).

It's for making very small incisions, punctures, etc. Something like that.

Hachoir can mean mincer (just type it into Google Images and you'll see lots of images of mincers) but here it means what we'd call a meat cleaver. Edit: Oh, somebody already said that, sorry.

Yes it's a scalpel.  :)

Bistouris and scalpels are the same, but scalpels can be used by craftsmen too whereas bistouris are only used by surgeons.

I had a bistouri where the meat was cut so thin you could read through it, the cheese was lovely-hard, and the mustard was piquant. Nothing beats a well-prepared bistouri with a chunk of freshly-baked baguette.
