Wonderful.

My favourite restaurant in the Canaries is 'El Horno' in the little town of Villaverde on Fuerteventura.
Huge T-bone steaks to die for... straight out of the grill in the horno that sits in the corner  :P

And it looks just like yours (except it's not mounted on Bridget Jones  :D)

I do misread the title of this thread everytime :D
Don't get me wrong, I love it dearly and its a beatiful piece of terrain, but. I was hoping for a more hardcore approach with LED-lights since you based it on a cd and all :)

Very nice work :-* :-* :-*
Would there not be a high risk of fire with a reed roof?

You would think so, but lots of photos and films show a roof of twigs, thatch etc. It is odd isn't it?

I really love this - that little door is sweet!  :-*

Any hints with your Pollyfilla foo?

I hate applying this stuff and it often doesn't stick well for me. Do you water yours down a little?

Well done, a simple but very effective piece.

One of my favourite parts of the world. Go there every year.  :)

Yep, water it down and stir it well. Apply with an artists palette knife. If necessary after it's applied and left to start to cure for a little while use an old paintbrush dipped in water to smooth it over even more.
Once dry, rub down with fine sand paper to take any remaining rough bits off.

I usually add a few squirts of PVA to my poly to make sure it doesn't fall off.

Some great work there Malamute!

My problem with mis-reading is my browser's font almost connects the 'r' to the 'n' to make an 'm', which has me constantly biting my lip before exclaiming "how rude!"

For a seemingly simple design, really nice detailing going on. Can't wait for the finished painted images.

Is there anyone on this damn forum whom I don't hate for their brilliant work?!?  lol
