I use Vallejo Model Color, Flat Earth for the base, then Desert Yellow, and Dark Sand for the lights.
I would say is a quite common choice.

Well, I've never tried to paint a mummy, so that colour recipe is news to me.  Thank you for letting me know. The bandages really bring your miniatures to life.

oh! I was only trying to say the paints are quite common (and cheap), not special wash or inks from rare brands etc.
My only advice would be try to avoid drybrush as much as you can. I think is the big temptation when painting mummies, is fast and effective but I don't like the final look, if abused the mummy looks more like covered in plaster than wrapped in bandages.
