15mm Water Tank
« on: September 15, 2010, 11:25:25 PM »
hi!

watching for the 3rd time Cast Away, i managed to sculpt something ... well, pretty small.

the final object should be a multi part (around 7 i guess) water tank, meant to be placed over buildings roofs or over a small tower.

needs some details more to be added, but it is quite a nice start.

all made in plasticard and some copper.
all the plasticard was texturized to make the wooden grane, i think the better effect i've ever seen for 15mm stuff.
maybe a bit to fine for 28, i've still to try (and actually i'm in love with balsa... :) )

hey, nice start! but I think the roof couldn't be moldable, because of the two planks on the top of it.

it will, believe me. ;) i've moulded much harder stuff! ;P

i will pour the silicon, after ready i'll cut off the unwanted parts... better than filling them before mould, it works pretty clean and nice! :)

the first part of the tower is moulded and casted.

al my resin was gone, so i used ceramics. not the same, but still enought to give some impressions... :)

now the basement part and the tube are missing.

I like it, especially the wood texture.
