Patrol boat (updated 20 nov-just)
« on: September 04, 2010, 08:17:10 PM »
Very WIP at the moment, but I'm making a 28mm-ish patrol boat for mysel'. It's based on the island class patrol boats reduced a bit in size due to budgetry cutbacks  ;)

Clean lines and nicely pointed nose prow.   :D

Should be interesting to see her develop.

Nice as the pulp figures are, they're not modern and military enough for me

What time period/type of crew are you looking for?
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Royal navy in the eighties, definatly in anti-flash gear, did find some in 1/35 but nothing for the 28mm yet.  :(

and here's an in progress of the 40mm inspired boomstick

Thanks for the heads up on that, will definatlly be after one when they're available, other than that I think I'm going to have a go at sculpting some crew myself, well is there a better way to spend a week off work other than lamenting my lack of ability to push putty about. Any sculptor want to lend me their un-godly sculpting talent  :D

Oh yeah should be working on the boat this week too.
