I know I'm slow as molasses... but here is the most recent update.

Finished the hull, added a crest to the rear and have done the first part of the superstructure.

From the rear:

The whole shamole:

Height so far... 7 1/2 inches (19.5 cm)  lol

The superstructure is only mocked up as you can see and isn't quite placed correctly.  I need to do the bridge first before putting the whole thing together as the roof is going to require a bunch of holes to accommodate all the stuff I will be putting on top.

It's getting there... though I have no idea how long it will take or what it will look like at completion!   o_o

Quite the behemoth!

 :D

Yep, and growing fast.

I'm thinking about making the superstructure removable as well, for storage.  That would break it up into three parts... the undercarriage, the hull, and the superstructure.

Thanks, chaps!

I feel confident I can get this one finished inside the year and half it took me to do the Blunderbuss.   :-I

Absolutely beautiful!  You can rest assured that when I do the skirmish variant of When the Navy Walked this landship will feature prominently in my imagination with the USS Blunderbuss.  Great work!  Now I'm off to raid my kids' toyboxes.

WOW :o :o :o
It seems to be getting bigger every time I see this thread.
Is your gaming table strong enough to hold this monster?
How much taller is it going to get?

I think so... I plan to play lengthwise instead of widthwise.

I would say as a minimum around 4 inches (10 cm) when I pop on the funnel.  My problem right now is to construct the bridge so I can see if I have enough room to put an observation mast/tower type thingy as well.  An observation mast/tower would boost it a couple inches more.

One thing is for sure... I won't have to worry about line of sight rules when someone wants to take a shot at it!    lol

Angry Player One "What do you mean I cannot shoot at it???!  It's huge!"

Player Two "It's behind that castle"

Player One "DOh!"
