Here are a bunch of just finished sculpts, modern people.  (metal HF minis for scale, obviously not my sculpt...) I was a bit inspired by slasher movies so I thought I would make some crazy people...

Some parts I'm suprise how decent it turned out, others I wish I could do better, some parts I wished I had made smaller....

Very cool! I didn't reaize you were such a talented sculptor! I like the old man with the axe, he totally reminds me of some back country horror...  The woman is also cool, she could be painted to fit a number of different themes. The short one with the shotgun is awesome, in a different context from the others. Very cool. Are you going to paint these up?

Gorgeous smoothness!  Cool characters.

thanks!

I'm hoping to get them into metal before I paint them.  Will have to decide what to do with them...

Those are really good.  As I'm currently trying to improve my sculpting I can appreciate the work that has gone into these.  The smoothness of the greenstuff is better than anything I have really managed so far.  What I also like is the amount of character you have put into each figure.

I really like the hippy axeman and the sawn-off guy (and he has a shotgun   ). The pose on the girl is a difficult one, not something I would dream of attempting at the moment.  She doesnt seem quite right, her hair seems too regular and her hips could be a bit more pronounced.

Not really in a position to criticise too much as I would love to be this good.

thanks!

Using clayshapers really helped with the smoothness.  I picked them up from an arts supplies store.  Or you can get them from heresy

I agree the girl is a bit odd.  I tried to fix it but its still messy.  I redid the arms twice already, they were a bit worse off before.  I just redid the arse too, so I'll take a photo later.

I didn't notice the hair looked like that until I took the photo, its touching too many things for me to carve off safely... wouldn't want to wreck something else so it will have to do.

btw, everyone is in a position to criticise!

thanks!

the naked greek was the most historical thing I tried I think.  I've got a cartoony viking somewhere too.  But most of my historical needs are serviced by existing sculpts already.

I like the woman's hair. It reminds me of crimped hair, which typically looks pretty uniform.

So, how would you go about getting these into metal?
