Have you read the competition rules Greywolf?

Quote
There are only two restrictions to the competition this time:
1) the base must be a standard format 120mm diameter CD. It may not be larger but you may break it up or nibble it at the edges if you like.
2) the cd base should represent what is traditionally considered a piece of scenery for a wargaming board. It should not be a piece which you would move about on the board.

Really nifty, notwithstanding.  What are you going to use for legs?
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Not sure yet Froggy ,you're an expert (and an inspiration :)) at this sort of thing.I thought perhaps a model aeroplane undercart, however that would mean hatches....Or maybe the old rod and sprue trick?
Should it be VSF/Steampunk or Weird War (I did fancy giving it an RAF colour scheme complete with rondels) ? Tho' Steampunk might be nice, rivets and so forth.

You can buy plastic rod and tube in one packet that is made to fit inside each other. Telescoping the packet is called I think? May be good for you leg idea.
