I love it when I'm away from the forum for a few days, and come back to find something like this. I didn't think you could top your last build - not a comment on your skills, it's just because the last building (the first one, really, I suppose), was just so good, I'd have been delighted to just see you match it. But of course you decided to go and outdo yourself - and why not?

The alleyway is very cool - good gaming possibilities - and the clock tower is brilliant. The scribed bricks look perfect.

I think it's safe to use an emoticon now!

I want foam to be available in Denmark.

Apparently it has never been approved for insulation here - thus nobody stocks it, not even for hobby purposes. 

Very nice build, I would love to have the materials and time to to have a go at some scratch-building myself. Brickwork isn't really an option, unless you have something like blue/pink foam. maybe when I get me a transport trailer for the car, I can go somewhere and buy a load of the stuff

Question from a foam virgin...

Craft knife, then pencil or pen?
Do you coat a watered down PVA before Priming, prime straight on using a standard paint?

I playfully created a pile of whittled down blue bits at the weekend and then used my normal spray primer and when I cam back it looked like my foam had a nasty dose of ebola...

I love the freedom that the foamy stuff gives in terms of terrain, not to mention the therapy aspect of doing hundred of tiny bricks but am somewhat....Meeeeeh at the moment and heading towards sweary...

Any help gratefully received.

I've managed to free up some time to get on with my Victorian pub.
Most of the hard work is done, with just final build and central roof to go.
I will also be basing it as it's a little big not to!!!

Oldgoat: I've only just started using blue foam myself. I found a coat of cheap housepaint ( water-based) acrylic tends to adhere quite well. As for cutting and detailing: a VERY sharp craft knife and a pencil for scoring bricks etc

I hate being speechless - I really do.

It's not just amazing - it's made of amazing, every last bit of it (although there's a liberal dash of awesome in the clock tower and the lights as well!).

I suppose I can wait to see it finished....maybe. No, I can't. It's too good!
