Master Painter Jaeckel put his brushes to this Dwarf Knight command group and they look amazing. I'll let you admire the pictures, that speak for themselves, but would just like to add that you should go check out his blog Jaeckel Alone, for more painted dwarf magic!

And in related news, if you wondered what an assembled unit of the dwarf knights look like en masse, prior to painting, check out Purplebeard's pictures:

The minis have a TREMENDOUS amount of character; the WONDROUS brushwork highlights it FANTASTICALLY! GREAT WORK!

Well, those painted up excellently! Love the wood grain on the lance!

I've always said this remains a private project and I would share the figures with the rest of you as long as the mould lasted and it seems that day has come for one of the sets, the core infantry multipart set, labeled WKD-02 (spears, halberds, swords, handguns or crossbows). The mould needs to be replaced or retired.

Which should it be? And if you feel it should be replaced, then are you willing to help fund this with a pre-order?

Just out of interest how much does a mould cost?

Depends on size of the mould and the mouldmaker of course, but £50-£60 will cover it in most cases so it's not a huge investment as such (though there are small hidden costs, like sending the masters to the mouldmaker etc... so at the end of the day, it might be around £70-75).

I just want to see whether it's worth to have it replaced as I don't need anymore for my own use and I don't want to throw money away.
