'Slight Mechanical Destruction'
« on: September 27, 2010, 07:21:22 AM »
I've seen one or two threads here (and elsewhere) about gaming in Iain M. Banks 'Culture' universe. Most came to the conclusion that it wouldn't be possible using a 28mm miniatures ruleset (or any other scale for that matter) due to the destructive capabilities of the weapons available to Special Circumstances agents. I'm wondering wether anyone has thought about representing the 'Culture' in a miniature starship game? The idea of representing the Minds and their respective Starships really appeals. I've already downloaded the free 'Full Thrust' rules and I'm hoping to take a look at converting the various types of.'Culture' ship to the various 'Full Thrust' ship classes. Does anyone have any suggestions for miniature starship manufacturers to look at? I am looking for sleek, 'clean lined' ships with maybe a less miliatristic look. I would assume that the 'Culture' would be as interested in a ships aesthetic appeal as much as it's ability to function as a warship!
