Just got the Westwind zombie horde. I'm afraid there is no real competition as the plastics only have 2 body types - more torso/leg variants would have made this a must buy.

Plastics do only make sense if you know people are going to buy several boxes of them. With only limited options, you're probably not going to want more of one box or they'll all look the same. Unless you count on people mixing and matching them with other plastic sets (warlord games perhaps), but we'll have to see how compatible they are.

that is the point, in effect

i have bought the warlord german infantry and i'm really impatient to see the scale comparison.

Yeah with around 40 odd westwind zeds I'd be loathed to include these (scale issue etc..).

But would probably buy a sprue or two for kitbashing.

Mantic games have got together with warlord games to combine there zombie box set with their german box set to produce zombie germans (on tmp) and they look great might be worth a look

I have pre-ordered, but now I'm a bit itchy ever since watching a Youtube review of Incursion.

This set together with some Westwind SoTR miniatures, would make a smaller hole in my wallet than the Grindhouse minis would...

Not inside info, but I pre-ordered a set as well. I asked for an update two weeks ago and got this in an email from John @ Studio Miniatures on the 21st:

"Sent an email this morning to the tooling company for an update as soon as
they respond I will email you. Thanks again for your patience"

Nothing since.
