15mm Mutant Ants from Hell!

I've finished painting ten Khurasan Miniatures 15mm Giant Ants. They could also probably stand in for all sorts of bugs, from giant spiders to the alien insects, and thus are very useful.

I also tested a new basing technique on them, gluing sand (from my backyard) to the bases after the minis were based, then applying primer to the base (as well to the mini), then painting the base and then sealing it with clear varnish. I also found out how to make a great concrete color: mix 3 units of white, 1 unit of black and 1 unit of yellow.

How long are the actual ants? I assume they are on 20mm bases, so would guess about 10mm?

Could be very useful for 28mm games too

Yep, approximately 10mm. The bases are Israeli coins (worth about 2.5 US cents each) of about 20mm in diameter.
