28mm SAS Jeep with Aussie crew

Bit a bit quiet on the modelling front of late, but getting some of my backlog cleared.

Here is and Aussie crewed SAS jeep I did for a guy down-under.

Lovely work - love the truck, you don't tend to see much in the way of transport - it's always tanks!

My round about way of asking who the manufacturer is!

The manufacturer is me - Battlewagons.

We take battered old dinky, corgi lledo etc castings and strip them. I then add some of our own cast white metal details, new tyres etc, and hand finish to order. We print our own decals and do the research and there you have it.

Supplied over 100 vehilces so far at costs of £30 upto £350!

The jeeps are old Dinky castings, although I am working masters for our own first vehicle at present.

Makes for a unique but tough model (and its recycling, although we never put a healthy model down!).

Saved for future use - like the Morris artillery tractor!

Thats my fav to. I was doing a Morris C8 using a Dinky casting, and while opening up the roof hatch with my trusty dremel managed to snap the casting in half.

I then thought of using the front half for a cut down MAT. I guy I do sets for collects anything to do with the Borderers, so thats what it became after some seroius scratch building.

I am doing something similar with a Lledo Chevy to form LRDG SAS gun trucks at present.
