YPU
I prefer the skinny one too, but I would like to have something that let's me use the sailors my brother gave me. Unless I make a fish-walker? Does anyone else have anything for a Nemo army?

Debakuk
Do you not think the mine-laying option would be difficult to use in a battle? The sub would have to traverse the battlefield while being shot at, get up to the target while enemy divers are trying open up the sub with can openers, place the mine and run away again.

Stared work on the base. Used the build something contest for inspiration and used an old cd. It's filled out with rocks from the garden and pollyfilla. I used a wee bit of green stuff to make a few starfish and shells.(I just realised the shells make it look as if the sub has pooped!) I think I'll add more shells and stuff, it still looks a bit barren. Not much left to do apart from make a weapon and a side fin and few touch ups. Then on to painting!

Any criticism or ideas welcome.....

My criticism is that you are too talented, you and your brother have caused my therapist to increase the dosage on all my meds to combat the depression and inferiority complex you both gave me.
This is my boomstick!

Hey, I never said it was practical! It'd look good though. Lets be fair a spar torpedo isn't the most practical weapon around either :)

So many projects..... so little time.......

I think I will just ignore the previous post  ;D
Far to fishy for my liking.

The sub looks great :-* :-* :-*
Have we seen a figure against it for scale yet.
And no you can't join the build something contest >:(
Your moving machine breaks the rules (thank god as it is far to good lol)

Nice,

Reminds me of the terrorfish subs that the gargling evil guys from Stingray had:

Any more planned?

Ray

The only reason it's going so fast is the support I've got from  fellow LAFers. I've got a hundred projects sitting on the shelf unfinished(ask gamer mac..), but because people here give you feedback it makes you want to finish.

Colin

That's the next project, paint the crew!

Commander vyper

That terrorfish would be fairly easy to make. Using strips of card stock or thin plastic card to make overlapping rings for the tail you could make a more dynamic model than I've got. Replacing the ackward tail on mine....the only thing I would miss personally would be the chance do all the pipe work.

Sorry the only bit of paper I had to hand was part used..

Possible paint scheme option..

I quite like the idea of it being mainly navy standard grey( it helps I've got a can of spray paint that colour!) with a light sky blue belly/lower section and darker( toward black) top bit. I also like the idea of brass/copper piping and fittings.. What do you think?
