I'm starting to experience some serious modelling jealousy toward you guys.  :-[  (I mean that in only the best way, of course.)

Oh yeah, you just have to do the squid. For the tentacles (at least the two with the "sucker pads"), you could use these tubes used for oil or water on certain cutting machines. I realize I'm not being very clear, I'll try to find a pic and edit this post. BTW the sub/diver combo on the pics is amazing. Man, I wish I had a brother...

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

EDIT Couldn't find what I was looking for. Sorry.  Build it anyway, it'll look great!

Yes Gamer Mac, that's exactly it.

Could prove to be hard to paint, but these flex-lines (that's the best I could do with my Google-Fu) would really look good. They are a bit on the largish side, but hey, that zeppelin wasn't exactly small either...

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

PS Hey Mac, where did you find the pic? I'm curious 'cause I see a LOT of potential in this flexi-thing. Could be useful to know where I can buy some. Thanks in advance.

Try machine coolant systems on the web. I think they are expensive though.

This is very high quality modeling.

It is the kind of thing to aspire to... but shouldn't stop anybody from dipping their toes into the water.

The sub is fantastic but it really really really needs a mechanical squid to attack it. This is a brilliant build project. More please!  :-* :-*

Cheers for the support guys, but anybody could make it. It's only magazine cover used for the body and small scraps of card and plastic piping for the rest. You could even just roll up bits of magazine cover to make the piping if you didn't have the plastic!

Got a bit done over the weekend. I started the tiger shark striped pattern over the top. After that all I've got to finish is the bronzing. Job done!

Haha yeah okay, make the squid then lol

I think what I like most is that you guys, being brothers, can hang out and make stuff... right?

But I completely hate how gorgeous everything looks ;) Keep it up!

After a small distraction painting a couple of figures for my nemo army I figured I better finish this or it'll sit on the shelf and gather dust! At least this way the dust will sit on top of a fully painted model :)

I changed the gold parts a bit, I thought they looked a bit too silvery and I added some colour with the red shield and orange light above the periscope.

I've still got some weapons to make for it, bit just now I would rather make up some thing I can use in a standard gaslight game. So as well as painting the nemo army I'll make up a couple of landing craft the same way I built this. Any ideas welcome..

P.s. I'll do the squid later!
