Wow. I may nick the scheme for my 'Dora the Explorer' one that has been sat gathering dust due to a painting block!

I've already posted one pic of this on Westfellachris's thread, but for completeness I thought I'd post some here as well.

After seeing chris's great sub I only had one thought, I need to beat it up. It's too good! :) We discussed it earlier in this thread about weapons to add. The first one I've made is a buzzsaw. My plan is to have them removable so I can change it for any game. I'm also working on a shield to cover the holes when there's no armament.

I plan to follow this guys tutorial on armour making to try and make the shield.

Here's my efforts so far with the weapons...

We talked of spar torpedos, mine layers, I joked on chris' thread about a can opener arm, I could do a grappler. Anybody got any other ideas?

I love this one. For other armaments, I think one should be careful to avoid the utterly ridiculous (including, to my mind, the can opener unless added to the tip of a ram) and mainly focus on the amusingly off-beat, like the spar torpedo. Or maybe an "adhesive charge" used to attack surface vessels, i.e. a barrel of explosives with a cartoon-size magnet on top?

The aforementioned electric discharge weapon might be a nice one, too. So have, say, double "horns" on the vessel's prow which penetrate enemy hulls, then discharge, then withdraw, or drag the unfortunate attacker to a watery grave as he cannot disentangle in time.
