Beautiful minis and nice pics! How are the TFL rules working? I tried once TW&T and found them very hard to apply without an umpire...

Excellent report Frank.

I'd already read it via the Lardy Yahoo group, but it thoroughly deserves to be posted here too and minis painted to that standard are always a welcome sight!

As you say elsewhere, the rules really can't be faulted and the silly rude names make the purchase worthwhile by themselves  lol

Those action shots are looking very good! The cotton ball smoke clouds are a great idea. As always the write-ups are fun to read.

By the way, I just received the same little kid miniature as a bonus from Eureka!

Where did you bullocks come from?

Great paintjob, nice pictures and a subject that we don’t see everyday. Real nice 8)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Thanks for the nice comments all.

SP is a great game, especially to players with a good sense of humor who don't mind a bit of a laugh.

Christian: those Indian kids are really useful minis and hey they are quick to paint too. The bullocks/oxen/cows are Foundry Darkest African Cattle http://wargamesfoundry.com/historical_ranges/single_packs/animals/any/african_cattle_da118/?comprisesofback=8180

That report was quite entertaining. I have Sharp Practice, but I've never played. Never even read the rules all the way through - they seemed a bit on the complex side for what I was looking for at the time. I never thought of them being used for anything but Napoleonic, but they seemed to work perfect for your chosen period. You've got me interested again - I just printed them out! And joined the Yahoo group! :)

Are there any tutorials or "easy" scenarios for someone learning the rules? Perhaps a battle report that explains the mechanics as the turns are played?

Nice photos and report. I think I have the same trees as you still sitting in a box. ::)

Greg there are some walkthroughs on YouTube done by the TFL crew.

They are pretty good at explaining the rules - here is the first of two:-

Oh don't talk such rot. Your blog is the tops. By the way, the Indostan reports are clearly colonial, so don't have to go in the "Other Adventures" ghetto if you don't want them to.  :)

Those Lardies videos are pretty good and do a nice job of presenting the game. I had no idea what Sharp Practice was like, now I feel I have a handle on it.
