Brick roads and walls

I found rolls of this brick at my local Walmart for $3 in the Christmas town section. It works great for roads or walls.

It's everywhere here in Canada this time of year. Takes paint well too. Comes in bricks and cobble versions, narrow for roadways and wide rolls for whole scenes.

Michaels has it, with the 50% off coupon it's a steal.

I had some terrible experiences with it, I like the sheets of plastic better.  I covered an entire building with it and it started to peel off.  Of course I had painted it and weathered it first.  I even used epoxy.  Ughhh.

I don't know if i would have used it for buildings but for roads and shit it's great.

You could probably find it in a gardenshop in the UK together with the other Lemax christmas stuff.
I used it for roads and like it you also have a cobbled road version and a water version etc.

I picked up two rolls from the local Walmart.  If you use them, then you either need to weigh down the corners or use pins, because they are a mostly-flexible plastic but they will still roll up.

I bought a roll some years back. I cut it in strips of roughly 2" wide and hang these strips down using weighted black paperclip for some time to straighten them. It worked well.

I'm thinking that for the purpose of storage, keeping them rolled would be easiest.

A side question, I noticed those Christmas Village type trees at Walmart are under $1 per tree, compared to $2+ with Woodland Scenics.  Would I get too many odd looks if I bought and used some of those cheaper trees?

Of course not.

As far as I know, apart from the applied snow, they're pretty much the same product anyway...

If only that whole christmas village thing was more popular over here, we'd be able to get our hands on those cheap stuffs too.
