Standard Boxers
« on: October 24, 2010, 07:29:47 PM »
As I didn't make it to BLAM but had already primed the gaffer I would be away I was able to have a whole hobby weekend at home :)

I recently got hold of a lot of Old Glory Boxers in a great trade and needed some banners so I did these in an art package and printed them out. Mainly just colour changes but I ended up doing twenty two designs in two different sizes :?

They will certainly come in handy for the opening ceremony of the imaginary 1900 Beijing Olympics. A beautiful splash of colour to brighten up our day.  :)

Those colours are beautiful, very vibrant and great designs!

What did you print them on?

In a Chinese army it's every other man, isn't it? According to Sun Tzu, or is it Jet Li?   ;)

Fantastic flags Svennn, will you be punting them out to the masses?

Cheers chaps.

Christian, they are just onto photocopier paper - they stiffen up with the PVA used to glue them together.

The ratio is about 1 in 10 so flag heavy but I think it makes them look more Chinese ::)

Fantastic flags Svennn, will you be punting them out to the masses?

Had been contemplating it but as I think Plynkes was subtley pointing out they are not exactly historically accurate - more just pretties.
The pdf file is still 22.5mb though which is a bummer. Only another forty to go ;D

JB - the first bag I did, braves, although they had decently sculpted robes seemed to fit the OG cliche but tbh these are a lot better. There are a few amongst them that are cracking figures and a few that are god damn awful but on the whole pretty decent. I have been thinking of adding more but I will finish this ninety first.

I wasn't subtly pointing anything out. I have little knowledge of the details of the Chinese end of colonial matters. I just thought they made for a nice parade.  :)
