Just saying hello

Hi,

I'm Darrell and I've been painting mini's and playing with my toys for years.

Main areas of interest are with the Late Medieval 'period' but of late I'm getting quite into The North West Frontier and the Second Afghan War. This all started when my girlfriend asked me if there were any wargames that she may like to play! Immediately my mind was made up, it had to be a skirmish level game, with some nice quirks (Triumph and Tragedy fit the bill nicley) so I took a punt and ordered some Pathans and ghurkas from Foundry.

Next will be a bit of terrain making and I'll be fitting in the NWF stuff amongst my Medievals every weekend- I have to do this as I'm a (hate this word) professional mini painter so I'll need the weekends to get the games going  .

I've got to paint them up yet.....  .

At the mo' I need serious info on the British and Indian Uniforms army in the Second Afghan War. From what I've seen in the pictorial evidence some regiments started in their red coats then switched over to khaki??

Yeah, long time no see 

Haven't got around to playing WAB for ages and fancied a change (and there were a couple posters there that were really starting to annoy)

I'm still painting samurai and have made a small start on some Normans.

Yep, I guess I know who you mean re: annoying posters on the WAB Forum.
