Some samurai and Normans from me :-)
« on: October 30, 2010, 06:24:26 PM »
Not as good as a fair few figures on this site but they keep me happy  :)

Normans first, you might have seen them on this years LPL but here they are again  :)

Unit leader and army general.

Cavalry first. All from the Sanada clan The different sashimono are correct and were either different family members or retainers.

Close up of the same.

Sanada teppo ashigaru

The Murakami clan. This clan were coastal pirates (for want of a better word) but worked with the shogun from time to time.

A selection of large clan banners (uma-jurashi)

Three ronin or retainers looking for trouble  :)

Possibly more to follow when I get some decent lighting sorted.

cheers

James

And happy you should be. Beautiful work here, especially on this fiddly samurai armour. 8)

Lovely work. Will you have these "in the flesh" at Warfare?  :o

Lovely work indeed! 8)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

They are some lovely paint jobs Jim. :-* :-* :-*
Are they Perry Miniatures?
Really like the painting on the banners.
Where are the banners from, made or bought?

Nice to see that those smaller Perry figures paint up so well, wish I had your talent.  8)

Cheers Colin (and everyone else  :) )

They are all Perry miniatures and there are only two banners that are 'homemade', basically the two white ones with the writing on them and the two cavalry bannders, all the rest are painted on the casts.

cheers

Excellent work on all.  Particularly impressed with the Samurai.  Did you freehand all the Kanji?
