This is a very good NMM effect for the first attempt, Neldoreth!:love:

What I like most about it is that it seems not so overly saturated like the majority of the ones that can be found on, say, CMON. In my opinion, it simply looks more 'golden' that way. It would be nice if You could let us in on the colours You have used.

The gems look great, too!

The only thing I would criticize would be the blacklining where the hair meets the face on his right-hand side, which seems too harsh for me. Maybe using a brown/grey would have been more appropiate?



Dammit, I realize now that I really need to have the 'White Council' box...

Beautiful work. I like the way you handled the NMM. I've never tried it myself, but if done well, I believe it looks better than metallic paints on 28mm figures.

Have you done any tutorials?

Yes that is a 28mm GW lord of the rings figure. The colours I used were somewhat convoluted as I started with a base of IWM Dun. Added brown to that for the base coat, brout it back to Dun, then added/highlighter up to ivory, and then the final highlight was white... I know it makes no sense, but I was trying to stick with what I already had

So the thing that baffles me about this fig is that it sold for only like $25 on eBay. I have sold less technically challenging figs for three times that much!
