You can't make it out in the photo above, but the front shade is held up by two poles. There are better pictures on the blog :) I'm planning on making them look a bit nicer than just a piece of convenient metal jammed in to hold it up, though.

I'm happy with the blankets, too.

I just have the bottom cabin to complete and the rest is just detailing! Not too far behind schedule :) She just needs a crew!

I see one of them now, the photo is taken so it appears at the angle as the lower frame  :)

... that bloody photographer  ;D

Just a mini update without any pictures, yet. I have completed the final cardboard panels on the smaller (boiler) cabin, and have made two of the three doors that adorn it.

I'm so close to completing it I can almost hear the *chug chug chug chug*... oh wait, that's just me making those noises.

The most challenging part by far is the paddle. I have a couple of options ready to go so I'll make sure I post them up as the feedback would be great.

I'm still tossing up a few options for the crew present on her maiden voyage...

You will be seeing some painting soon :) After I'm done with all these bloody rivets...

That looks great, Christian. Very nice details and with all the rivets on it will be a true beauty! Thanks for the special treatment! :D

One of my buddies started with a boat btw and he decided to cover the paddle in the back with wooden planks. That was he avoided finding some kind of wheels.

Yes it seems to be somewhat challenging. I had scoured eBay for wagon wheels, and got the ones I pictured earlier. They came with two smaller ones which are the ones I think I'm going to use. That will be for the next update though!

No I didn't :P I'm... working on it...? :D

Can you see it in the blog posts? I reinforced it around the middle but I guess you're referring to the top rim of the front of the ship?

Where has this thread been?  Very nice work.  The rivets will make it pop. Great job.
