Sudan in 15mm
« on: November 07, 2010, 06:02:10 AM »
My collection of 15mm figures for the Sudan in the late 19th Century numbers more than 2,000 figures.  It took about two years to paint them, construct the gunboats, the armored train, and the walled town.  I hope you'll take a look at them at www.warin15mm.com/The-Sudan.html

Well done! I do hope you reshoot the battle scenes with more figures involved!

Superb!  :-* I've been toying with the idea of restarting my Sudan collection, this time in 15mm using Peter Pig figures. The peek at your collection may have tipped the scale. Ach, mah pur wee wallet...  :'(  ;)

Thanks to all for your kind words.  It's lots of fun to share the things you enjoy with people who have the same interests.  Long before there was an internet, the pictures of Peter Gilder's Sudan figures in Wargames Illustrated inspired me to try my hand at figure painting.  It's been a great hobby.  After 36 years in education, I retired two years ago and have lots of time to devote to painting.   I haven't been bored for a minute!  I hope to have another gallery posted by the end of the week. That will be my Napoleonics (France versus Austria, 1809).  Thanks again.  Richard
