Little Big Horn Gallery
« on: November 07, 2010, 06:28:53 AM »
Like most little boys in the U.S., I had a love affair with the Plains Indians.  And while I have not been a little boy for decades, that childhood romance remains.  Consequently, when I began painting 15mm military miniatures more than three decades ago, it was natural that the Plains Indians and the U.S. cavalry would be a the top of my to-do list.  It took about a year to complete the painting of my Pony Wars collection, and the results can be seen at www.warin15mm.com/Little-Big-Horn-Gallery.html.  I hope you'll take a look.

That's amazing! I think 15mm really lends itself to large battles as the scales & ranges seem a bit more consistent. Plus, it looks fantastic with so many figures on the field!

Wow... brings back old memories.  I started wargaming with 15mm minis 40 years ago.

Super gallery and the others... Zulu, Sudan, etc... aren't bad either!

In fact... they are fantastic!

I have never been a big fan of 15mm, even though I use them for Napoleonics.  However, those pictures may well inspire me to get into this scale a bit more!  You seldom see 15mm based up singly, but I like it, seems like just the thing for this period.  Great, another project!  I started my gaming carrer when I was a kid and me made rule to shoot eachothers figures with rubber bands with our Fort Apache sets.  I supose those were probablly 40mm orso, my mother threw them all away years ago...
