As I'm almost done doing all my projects for our Horisont convention here in Denmark I've started on the next big thing... which is Starship Troopers 1989! (yeah WTF!)  lol

SST 1989??

Care to elaborate?

I will elabrorate! Later! When I'm done with all my other projects... urgh!

Imagine your classic 1950's American "they came from outer space" movie with m48 patton tanks, national guard, john wayne'ish heroes, screaming women and lots of arachnids. Oh well and then set in Denmark in the 80ties. (the Danish National Guard (Hjemmeværnet) would probably be at the military technological equivalent of 1950's in the US).

And yes, it's a horrible model. I started painting it 6 years ago (or whenever it was released). And I only just finished it today...  lol

Haha that sounds great!

I painted mine at 5 in the morning the day before a tournament many years ago.

It was a bugger to build as well... Never have I used so much glue and so much activator.
Never have I managed to use a whole reel of Greenstuff on one miniature as well...

Those Brain-Bugs are awesome. My son has one. Too bad I am not into Sci-Fi miniature gaming right now.
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

A couple years ago I bought a Mongoose brainbug at a flea market for $5. After spending five hour trying to pin the thing together my frustration reached a breaking point. I haven't looked at it since. In the meantime I use the plastic toy version. It's a bit small, but it's in one piece. I might just raid the miniatures box for the chariot bugs and leave the rest of the kit at the back of the cupboard.

I was stationed in FRD in the 70's as a Part of NATO. We had tremonus respect for the Hjemmeværnet.
They were considered to be front line troops directly in the path of ant DDR & Soviet Offense. ;)
