Will you...?
« on: November 21, 2010, 05:01:56 PM »
Hey,

September 24, me and my wife got married. I wanted to thank her for all the years of encouragement and motivating for the hobby. The best way seemed to me to do a diorama. So I bought the two froggies by Dark Sword, constructed a diorama base with a lot of foliage and leaves and poured several tinted layers of Envirotex Lite.
Thankfully she really likes it, so I'm a happy man :D

Excellent! I'm getting married in April and I'm sure my fiance would like something similar (she loves frogs).

Congrats and nice job on the diorama 8)

Does it have a glass dome to protect it from dust?

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Beautiful work and very inspirational - been thinking about doing something similar for my long suffering wife too, but on a samurai theme as she loves all things Japanese...

Where did you get the presentation base and (fingers crossed as I've already spent a fair bit on minis and scenics  :o) was it reasonably priced?

Absolutely lovely.

And good for you having a significant other who gives a monkey's about minis!

It's a wooden diorama base by Andrea. Bought it from Battlefield Berlin:

Not cheap, but it looks really well!
