This is hard!!!!!

  :'(

I have been drilling away for 5 - 10 mins and getting no where...
What kind of bit are you using? White metal can dull bits quickly so I sharpen them with a file. I usually use a sightly large size bit than the one you're using.

Choice of glue can make a big difference too.

I only use CA glue for small parts. Anything that has a mating surface of 2mm or more gets JB Welded, though I do use a drop or two of CA on top to tack things in place while the JB sets. JB Weld takes a looooooooooooooong time to cure. Not that efficient, but the bond strength is way, way better than CA, and that gives you a lot of extra options in pinning, to say nothing of durability on the table.

In fact I've got a number of figures assembled using JB Weld without any pinning at all that have proven to be more durable than pinned and CA'd figures. If the mating surfaces are large enough (4mm and up, roughly speaking), it's almost as if the parts were cast as one to begin with.
History viewed from the inside is always a dark, digestive mess, far different from the easily recognizable cow viewed from afar by historians.

I found some of my drilling was quite laborious, then I got a new set of bits and it was much better and easier. Small sets will set you back about £5-6.

Try getting some new bits, Interesting idea from Hammers on using some lube, I do find clogging can be an issue. I do fall in to the Gamer mac 'slapdash pinners club' though! :D
Saving the last bullet... just in case.
