The small amendment.
This regiment was called "Immortal regiment of a name of Gajdy".
Was a part of the Shock case.
General Rodola Gajda - a сzech, Commanding the Siberian army.
It is a good and interesting forum. It is a lot of before the unknown information.

Michael,
They are not 1st Immortal Shock Regiment Colonel Vlasov? They were a separate Div from 1st and 2nd Shock right?
Did you see the banner in the middle of the fist picture? Is it all black with Scull and bones? I find these photos fascinating! I definitely have to paint up this unit for my Siberian Army.

It - 1st Immortal Shock Regiment Colonel Vlasov.
At first it was a separate shock batallion, later - a regiment. The regiment was a part of the Separate Siberian Shock brigade. Later the brigade has been developed in a division.
Here a uniform of this regiment:

The banner of this regiment, unfortunately, is not known to me.
You confuse this military unit to other formation -
1 Siberian assault brigade of general Pepeljaev.
Here its uniform:
http://kolchakiya.narod.ru/uniformology/sib_shturm_brigade.htm
The black banner with a skull and bones belongs to this brigade.

Thank You. I meant this banner - perhaps it goes on the bayonet? It looks like it is maybe red over black with white skull and bones???

I know these photos. But the exact colouring of a banner and a batallion of a badge (?) to me are not known.
The most widespread colours of shock and assault units - red and black.
Most likely your assumption true.
It seems to me, that the small tag is consolidated on a stick. Though it is possible, I simply do not see a rifle on it a photo.
Try to ask a question to experts at the Siberian forum (www.siberia.forum24.ru)
There good guys. If they know something - will help.
Write in English. Many quite know this language.
I have looked the directory Valery Klaving.
1st Immortal Shock Regiment entered with 8th Kamskiy into structure of the Siberian separate army. Then has been poured in in structure Separate Siberian Shock brigade.

Hi Michael, Thank you for the idea; I tried to join the forum but it didn't work for some reason. They do have some very good topics to read about. Good info on the Battles of Barnaul too!

If want, I can be registered with your name at a forum siberia.forum24.ru, and then transfer you the password. You change him.
Yes, the history of fights for Barnaul has very much interested me. It is a city in which I live. If I will find time - I will make figures for game on this theme. The truth of regular Red army here was not. In 1918 a city from Czechs and white defended: the Red guards from workers and miners, groups of internationalists from the Hungarian prisoners of war and are a little sailors (which have arrived to Altai on purchases of bread from Petrograd). In 1919 fights with Czechs, Poles and army Kolchak the guerrilla country army conducted. Guerrillas have grasped huge territory (the size about as France!). That is interesting - half guerrilla has been armed only by PEAKS (!), but successfully enough smashed white and interventionists.
Then (1921) there was already a revolt were guerrilla Rogov and Novoselov against the Soviet power. And they have acted under anarchical slogans. Here already guerrillas battled to regular Red army. Rich fighting history and a little known even in Russia.

Yes please - Thank You. I tried to register as user name "Siberia" but received an error message in Russian which I could not translate. So it frustrated my plans.

VERY interested in the battles in and near your town! Now a few questions: Poles - 5th Division? "guerrilla country army" - Partizans?  What are PEAKS? ПИКИ translates as spades as in shovels? Spaceba. A very interesting chapter in Civil War history.

Have you tried registering with a name in Cyrillic letters Sepoy?

Peaks will be spears/lances.

Guerrilla would more normally be translated as partisans. (They were pro-revolution, and allied with the Bolsheviks, but not formally part of the Red Army. Although Soviets claim that they were orthodox Bolsheviks, quite a few objected strenuously to the Lenin dictatorship and revolted as soon as the Whites were cleared out.)

The Poles were part of the anti-Bolshevik forces, formally subordinated to the French (being the 5th Polish Division in their army). They were not as powerful or as influential as the Czechs and most of them did not make it out, surrendering to the Reds. One brigade only made it back to Poland (and fought in the Battle of Warsaw).
