RCW Scenarios?
« on: October 01, 2011, 03:12:54 AM »
Hey all.

Can anyone recommend any wargames books with RCW scenarios in them?  Just starting this period and am interested in finding historical scenarios that are ready to go.  Plan on using TFL's Mud & Blood, and would adapt any scenario to those rules.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

There are some scenarios here

I have just started to use TFL Mud and Blood for the RCW too they are a great set of rules. I use scenarios from the Perfect Captain rules yahoo group and any historical ones I come across when reading on the period. For the Mud and Blood rules I just convert the company units used  in Red Actions into platoons or sections for Mud and Blood.

I do think that the RCW looks good gamed with units that are companies too. Most rules seem to place it at company level  although the Mud and Blood rules could be adapted by simply making the companies into sections. If you have any info on the make up of Bolshie and White platoons I would be interested in it. Im not sure if they would have developed the specialist sections of the western armies do to the different conditions on the Eastern front.

If you will not be too lazy to do the translation from the Russian language (I recommend using an online translator Google), use my link.

There is a converted Russian war game rules "Red Actions" from the authors of "The Perfect Captain" (I modified the rules are very nravyatsya! - They convey the special circumstances of the conflict).

Cards and tokens for the game. They are, in many ways, specially designed for this modification of the game.

 Scenarios for the game.

In the Russian version of the modified rules are called "Steel Thunder"

There is also a modification of "Beyond the Don River"
rules for the military company, but there already have to deal with the translation seriously
The rules for a company called "There, across the Don River ..."
