Another one with the Fallout bug I am afraid
« on: November 22, 2010, 02:37:45 PM »

A vault dweller, no number yet I am afraid, needs cleanup ...

Supermutant

Mister gutsy scratchbuilt from a plastic ball, a few pearls and the arms of a plastic starwars droid

A bad looking conversion of a black cat bases robot into a protectron, obviously my greenstuff skills are not really up to it I am afraid.

Mister gutsy and the supermutant are awesome! Is the mutant by reaper ? I think the protectron is a nice little conversion, i think your conversion work is better than the original casting!

Thank you for the comments. Yes the supermutant is by reaper. The thing I am most displeased by the Protectron is I think around the arms where it looks very lumpy. I have some scenery in the works and 20 something more minis on the workbench.

The Supermutant is really cool. I like the Robot conversions too, especially the Protectron looks that way much more like the game version.

Great job on the vaultie, I did the same thing with that casting, gave mine black hair though.  Supermutant looks good.  I dont see why you are so hard on yourself about the protectron, it looks good to me.  I really like the mr gutsy too.  Looks like a great bunch to start a fallout collection with.

The Vault dweller is Hasselefree's HFA015 Dionnehttp://www.hasslefreeminiatures.co.uk/pack.php?pack=695
The supermutant is Reaper's 50180: Mega-Mutant http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/mega-mutant/latest/50180
The protectron is Black cat bases Classic robot http://blackcatbases.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=437_614&products_id=2566
Repers chronoscope range has several models that will work great for fallout, especially their zombie survivor types. EM4 miniatures and Copplestone castings also have good minis for raiders and wastelanders. The same goes for hasslefree miniatures their adventurers and also a lot of gribbly monsters and beasties and mutants.

Search for Fallout here on the board and there are several threads about fallout with lots of ideas for miniatures and a lot of beatuiful scenery. :)

At first, I was a bit insulted by that, but then I checked my own thread and noticed that I indeed didn't identify about half my figures. I guess it's a subconscious thing because the lines I used (Copplestone-sculpted "Future Wars" minis available from EM-4) are very well-known classics this side of the pond.
