The brickwork was scribed into the foam using a pencil. I then coated the lot in cheap internal wal paint ( light cream). When it was dry I applied the brick colour using a sponge ( it stops the paint going into the cracks).Hope that helps.PM

Aha! So maybe that's where the phrase comes from... or perhaps not. I always thought it was a very Irish expression - anybody else ever hear it?
