From what I can see in the rather small and moving pictures they are not going to float my boat. :(

The war machines look pretty good, but if their existing Dwarf range is anything to go by... hmm

I hear that their dwarfs are a lot better in person, but I agree they dont look al that good in picture at all.

I agree that I am not at all sold on these guys either, Personally I am looking forward to their supposed upcoming ork and/or goblin army, as it should provide cheap alternatives to GW OnG war machines.

Couldn't stand the high hat ones, bloody assyrianesque background. Much preferred the earlier full plate ones, lovely.

These are ok ish, but the first dwarves from mantic were pretty naff.

I actually also much like the assyrian look. Oddly enough I also like assyrians for historical gaming.  :-X

I liked both styles (and had a Mortheim Gang of Chaos Dwarfs, many years ago), but I have to say I would prefer more of a "horned helmet evil mini-viking" variety nowadays.

The ones in the video look quite weird - not in a bad way, but I'll certainly prefer to see actual figures first. I had seen the "regular" dwarves in Manchester in August, and while I don't dislike them, they were a bit flat concerning detail, but overall nicely done.

As said, I'll wait what comes out of that.

I've tried to love Mantic Games' stuff, but I just can't. The elves are pathetically thin, even by elf standards. The Dwarfs have the worst beards I've ever seen. The Undead are actually really nice figures, just a bit on the busy/cartoony side for me. All in all, I can't see this next release being that amazing. Hope I'm wrong!

I can't really comment on the dwarfs having not seen them in person, and I can see why some wouldn't like the slightly cartoony undead.

I am going to stick my neck out and disagree with you on the elves though Gibby, while you might like fat elves I wouldn't say the mantic ones were pathetically thin, to me they are perfect for 28mm "realistically" proportioned elves.

They are maybe just a touch slimmer than a 28mm athletic female human which I feel just right. Now if you don't like the style of the armour or something that's okay but body size wise they aren't too thin.

Aaanyway...these chaos dwarfs look pretty interesting, especially the warmachines. While they may not be as beautiful as Scibor Miniatures' Moscals no doubt they will be far FAR cheaper so appealing to a different market.

I guess I was a bit rude saying 'pathetically thin,' I'm just used to a different scale. I don't like fat elves, but the mantic ones have torsos so thin they must be full after a couple of pringles!  :)
