Sweet dealo on 3D terrain (Halo Interactive game)
« on: December 05, 2010, 08:28:41 PM »
Local store was selling them for $18. I got two (all I could within my budget).
Gives you the 1 inch gridded terrain, as well as some minis to paint up. Has anyone else done this? I wouldn't mind seeing how they came out.
Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.

Squares on it are 1 inch. Figures are a good scale.

Sounds like an appalling gaming system but with very useage pieces.

Can you take some pics of the spartans and covenant (close up)

Cheers

I did the same thing a couple of months ago.   The figures are neat but very rubbery.
This is my boomstick!

How are the sangheili and unggoy figures? Those tickle a fancy most finely.
Everything is better with lizardmen.

Didn't buy it for the game, got it for the terrain. The figures are secondary. I will give a fair try though

here is a link with a pic of two of the figures with a Wizkids Spartan

There's also more links to other pics, including some of the figures that were painted

Cheers I think I'll stick with my plans, they look pretty ropey to be honest.

I saw some in the flesh and speaking as some-one who has hundreds of WoTC, Wizards and AT-43 plastic figures - these are really quite bad.

FWIW, the boxset was retailing last year at Target for $10 - if you can snag it, it may be worthwhile for your Terrain needs - but for anyone looking for HALO figures the best (almost no effort required) plastic figures are still the clickies.

Cheers for that. I'll stay with my proxy pigiron spartans, spuggs and lovejoy's & Doghouse's not covenant once released. Also got some kroot as proxy jackals, so will have a play with them at some stage. Got a few grunts from the clicky range, will also paint up see how they look. I bit big sculpt wise to be honest.

Real shame as the dvd idea sounds fun, but them again games like atmosfear and the star wars video games got dull quickly.
