Roller Staking Carhops
« on: December 08, 2010, 02:20:52 AM »
Does anyone make roller staking carhops in 25mm/28mm?  I recently found one by Arttista, but it is $6.25 for a single figure.  I'd like some variety (more than one) and a little cheaper price if possible.

That's "skating" not "".  I guess I should pay more attention to what my fingers are typing. Sorry about that.

Well, they're not quite carhops (or if they are, I bet they don't get too many complaints about their service!):

Thanks Will.  You're probably right about complaints.  I was hoping for service with a smile on roller skates.

I was hoping that you really intended Roller STAKING Carhops, as if I'd open the thread to see pics of them skating off in pursuit of vampires.  :)

Reaper occasionally produces Sonic carhops, but only in very limited numbers as giveaways to the Sonic employees who cater Reapercon.  No harm is writing them to ask if they have any they'd sell, I guess.

Mancha, sorry to have misled you.  Froggy, I'll give it a try.  Thanks.

Wasn't there one in one of the Horrorclix sets?

Had a look at Horrorclix; didn't find a carhop on roller skates, but had a lot of fun looking.  Thanks.

I didn't realise they were called carhops, I'm after some zombie ones!

The Somnambulist, have a look at what is available through Horrorclix.  I have now spent a good deal of time looking at single figures Horrorclix that are available on line and there is a lot of interesting stuff.  I think you might well find some figures of interest.  The closest I came to a non-zombie carhop was from their line The Lab entitled Candy Striper (HORTL-43).  Although she's a hospital volunteer, she looks like a diner waitress.  I wasn't looking closely at zombies but they have a lot of them and it seems to me one might be right for you.

Steve F, thanks for telling me about Horrorclix.  They don't have the roller skating carhop I was looking for, but I found a lot of interesting figures ranging from a fan dancer and gypsy seer to Jack the Ripper and Jekyll & Hyde (great poses).  I bought about 12 individual figures at prices ranging from as little as 5 cents to $3.00.  Most were in the 35 cents to $1.00 price range.  Since I'm interested in the figures rather than the Horrorclix game, I had lots to select from because player level wasn't an issue for me.  I purchased mine at www.miniaturemarket.com/home and they were very easy to work with.  Shipping from the midwestern U.S. to California was about $7.00.  You can order on line or by phone.  I made the purchase this morning and they say it will take seven working days for delivery. Thanks again Steve.
