Bolt Action Chindits!
« on: December 09, 2010, 09:58:54 PM »
Has anyone else seen these yet!? Bolt Action Chindits! Wow are these nice. Especially like the commanders (Furgusson and Wingate) and the Burmese scouts. Sculpted by Paul Hicks. These are definitely on my TO GET list (I was planning on Gaming Burma/India anyway). Now we need Merrill's Marauders and British equipped Chinese troops and we're all set!

Great looking models. Bolt Action has also released a plastic box set of WW2 British.

Thanks Scott for the news.

Paul has worked his magic once more and looking at some of the previews of the forthcoming Chindit release we will not be disappointed.

Warlord Games are going from strength to strength.

I look forward in seeing their Japanese.

Cheers,

Helen
Best wishes,

No worries Helen. Wonder if Paul will also sculpt their Japanese!? That would be a treat as they would mix well with Brigade's Japanese.

Hi Scott,

I wouldn't think so. I'm willing to bet it will be the same sculptor as the US Marines which is not a bad thing. Nice to have variety, don't you think?

Cheers,

Helen

I'll wait and see, but generally I prefer Paul's sculpting style, but others will enjoy them.

These are great but would it be possible to have some more Burmese troops please?

Wingate was barking mad. Of course I'll be getting them.

I found interesting they called Wingate Mr. instead of General... anyway the best way to ruin the infantry equivalent  of 2 divisions for almost no strategic purpose, becoming overly famous for a failure and making me drook for the minis (that can serve also as more successful XIV army troops!

I am still grumpy that they decided to do the Pac War and not North Africa, but the figs do look good. Too bad I already have a whole army of TAG Chindits.

They are great looking miniatures - I think I'm going Pacific as soon as I finish my NWE Brits.
