I have already got the pipe ends covered (pun intended :D)
This is one of the arms I am working on.

Using smaller diameter pipes to fill in the spaces.
Will do the same on all the knee joints.

I like the detail you've got there, plenty of rivets and you're done  :D

I'm having visions of a Manta looking cargo/material transporter with a drop down belly.

This is one of the arms I am working on.

See if you leave the arm like this, you could insert different utensils in the end. Either claws or drills or other weapons. Just use a smaller  piece of pipe than the arm. Attach it to the end of the weapon/ claw and don't glue it and you can slide in different options.

Yes it was finished.
Used in round 4 of the current LPL.

I think I have some WIP photos, I will try and dig them out.

Found some more WIP photos if you are interested ???
went for an old claw from a chaos dreadnought

Painted the pilot on an olbattery just because it fitted the plastic dome I found.

As you can see I am no artist :D

But my art is well hidden

And just for completeness the crewmen

and the whole lot together along with the scenery I was going to use for my LPL photo.

Thanks for all the good comments Guys.
Just a pity you didn't see it in the LPL AND VOTE FOR ME lol

Just browsed this thread and had an idea regarding covering tube ends: Builders Markets (or whatever they are called in English) usually carry small plastic discs with a tap to be inserted into and cover screws (commonly seen on IKEA furniture). I think they come in different sizes. Might work for some projects.

I must have missed that round of LPL  :?

Great minds think alike.
I have some of those spare from when I built my kitchen. But they were far to big and didn't fit the end of the pipe.
