My Aussies for Ambush Alley (pic heavy)
« on: December 14, 2010, 02:31:11 AM »
Here's the start of my Aussies. A mate painted the figures and I based them. I painted the 113 (first 28mm vehicle I've done)

Are they the Eureka Aussies?

Those are awesome!

I have some of these figures but couldn't paint the cam to save my life, so they are sitting in a draw somewhere  :(

Any chance on a list of paints used or even a tutorial?

Great stuff. Nice work on the bunny suits in particular. Technically speaking they are the Kreigspiel Australians but yes manufactured and sold by Eureka. Not quite as nice as the Kosta Heristinadis' ranges but still nice figures.

Try going over the Steyrs with Vallejo Field Grey, with maybe a little white added. That's a suitable greyish green colour. The new M113 refits have a different turret and the bucket's hull has been stretched, so there's now an extra roadwheel. Not an easy conversion so I'm sure nobody would object to you having the older version. Just be aware that the sand colour in the pattern tends to have a rather warm pinkish tone rather than buff in most cases.

thanks people.

As a mate painted them I'm pretty sure he didn't keep a record of paints, sorry. And I cant paint camo to save myself myself, hence why I paid him to paint them lol. Not sure whether to repaint the guns OD (mil) or leave as the civilian versions (black)

Yeah I know the 113 isn't correct, I did add the extra fuel tanks on the back and will get around to building the correct turret someday. So much to do and soo little time
