Greetings!

A picture of an actual ghost town in Arizona.

That is very cool...  Not only for terrain building inspiration, but it would be so cool to play some paintball there!

Talking about Paintball... in this site there are some pictures of the actual Army training facility  where I usually play Paintball here in Southern Brazil... it's a real  Ghost Town and very big!

That's a very cool ghost town, nice shot.

I think it would be fun to ride into that town and explore a bit. . . then have a paintball gunfight at high noon!

Last week I took several days off and tooled around some of our local ghost towns here in Montana - in front of most the state park service had put up big "WARNING -RATTLESNAKES IN BUILDINGS" signs. Not only was it true, but it cuts down on vandalism and paintball.

Awesome DinoHunterPOA, that looks like a great spot! Too bad I am nowhere near there :/

I am only a few hours away from Montana...  but seriously, a rattlesnake bite would totally ruin a day of paintball...  not to mention a cool historical site! That being said, I think you guys just helped me identify a niche market in paintball! The wild west! And I bet it would be super realistic because I would imagine those old lead shot rifles and pistols would be about as accurate as a paintball marker as well!

Anyway, sorry for drawing the conversation off topic, but I gotta get out from behind my desk sometimes ;)

Brilliant picture DinoHunterPOA,  very inspirational and informative.

What's the story here I wonder. what cause the town to die out ?

...cant blame the rattlers for making use of the facilities.

Great photo. :)  Looks perfect for inspiration to build a town.

Cool Ghost Town site for more inspiration:

Guys, sorry for this offtopic...

Neldoreth, some of the guys that  I play Paintball with are already  into "WWP - Wild West Paintball". For tactical reasons, I am more oriented into military-simulation Paintball (MSP), but since I play with a pair of Tac 8 pistols, I feel myself very confortable to handle WWP as well, and itś very fun!  And itś easier and cheaper to get the gear and horses and carts than the gear and vehicles that simulate modern warfare!  I wonder how come WWP is not a fever in the US already!

BTW: I have very nice memories from a Warhammer Fantasy RPG game several years ago, in which a duel between two swashbuckler Player Characters was decided in "live-acrtion" using single-shot paintball pistols! (fortunately, both characters lived to keep on the adventure!)

What I like is that the biggest building in Old Mescal is the Brothel  :)

Gotta get your priorities right

This is just how I'd like my western town to look. I'm using Whitewash City card buildings and although my modelling skills are poor, I can just about manage to make these without getting too much blood on them.

Having the surrounding terrain in the photo is a great help to an English dude trying to get an authentic look.

Cheers,
Ian
