VERY NICELY DONE! The Beasty has a definite Mad Max feel to it...building a War Band around a cool centerpiece like this should be a FINE project. My only critique is that drilling out the barrel of the roof gun might be a nice touch.   :o

On this side of the Pond, Walters ( www.walthers.com ) is a GREAT source of similar 1:50 die cast models; they normally have a couple in their monthly sales flyer.

Somewhere, an  OCD Corgi collector is twitching at the mere thought that you took it out of the package!

I encountered that species when trying to buy a die-cast car at a toy show. The vendor asked each of us what were our intentions for the DC Ford Falcon he was offering for sale, and he decided he wouldn't sell it to someone who was going to "desecrate it". (Me, naturally).

Beautiful machine! Very imposing.

Many thanks. I am rapidly becoming an arch desecrator. All of the most interesting vehicles (i.e. the ones I want to cut up, stick bits on and cover in rust) seem to be of the 'rare and vintage' variety. Oh well...

Desecration is in the eye of the beholder.  It's not like you're chopping up a Rembrandt for adding posters to a wall!  :)

Brilliant conversion and paint job on the bus!  Keep up the great work.

The fuel cans, are they 1/35, or what scale?

That is a fantastic model. I want to see what you come up with next...!!!!

Amazing work, really inspiring...

any chance of a picture with a mini next to it, for scale interest...

lovely conversion work - my own personal gripe would be the gun, which looks out of place with the rest of the model, but great job nevertheless.

Have got a few corgi 1:50 busses for VBCW and they are great to work with.

The more I think about it the more I am beginning to agree with the various comments about the gun. I will try a lighter, more slimline version. Must be something in the bits box. Update to follow (with figure for scale as requested).

Thanks for the kind comments and helpful critique.
