Do you know if it is larger than the Revell one ?

About 30% bigger I guess. Approximately in the middle between Revell kit and Kenner action toy.

I know that , but for collectors, it must be a comfort to hear it on those rare occasions they have any intimate contact with women other than their mothers

The countless panels of the Millenium Falcon were painted in different shades of grey, then washed black.

Fichtenfoo has a great tutorial on the Falcon, it's rather advanced stuff, but you should be able to simplify it and still get a great effect.
