More M-i-i-i-i-c-e in S-p-a-a-a-a-a-c-e blather

This thread also exists on TMP...

Okay, back to M-i-i-i-i-c-e in S-p-a-a-a-a--a-c-e.

I posted to Fantasy because I am looking for figures to convert to Mice in Science Fiction space gear/combat gear. I think Hobbits, Gnomes, Dwarves, Goblins, et. al. might be possible candidates.

Here are the parameters I thinking of:

1) Not too expensive (Love Reaper but for a beginning green stuff set of conversions something less expensive would be best.)

2) Open hand would be ideal but I have a pin vise so I can remove/insert items.

3) Less (as in details) is more in this case. Nothing says you can't use capes, for example, in Science Fiction but I am thinking the less detail to delete the better.

4) Size – well these would be "giant" mice (genetically enhanced, "uplifted", whatever your logic,) so I am thinking 15-18 mm with 10 mm at the very smallest to compare reasonably to 25/28/30 mm humans/aliens. They don't all have to be from the same genetic strain so variance between scale/companies is subject to handwavium.

5) Obviously any with goggles, bubble helmets, etc., would be a bonus. I can get Science Fiction weapons or even modify modern weapons so that's not too big a detail to worry about.

Suggestions?

Gracias,

Glenn

A Hamster not a Mouse but instantly I thought of this picture.

As for models...

Hasslefree Grymm with mice heads is probably the simplest thing I can think of.

I guess it depends how mousey you want them to be, just human shaped body with a tale and mouse head, or a more mouse like body which would probably require scratch building some armour.

That said converting or scratch building some kind of interesting armoured suits probably isn't as hard as it sounds especially when you don't really have any realistic proportions to work from other than the size of the head you are going to put on it.

You could also take the slightly different route of using larger armoured models with a small mouse head behind a view port controling it from a cockpit more like a mech than a suit of armour.

That looks like an Ursula Vernon illustration.
You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

40 mm tall kind of exceeds my intent (smaller than 25/28 mm humans.)

Splintered Light minis might have some to use.
Alternatively GW Skaven heads could be utilised to get the basic shape, though rats have more pointy noses than mice.

Yeah... a bit more GW than I was thinking but if you can get the 15 mm alone there is a possibility...

Gracias,

Glenn

Edit:  actually the 25 mm ones have potential too on second thought...

They are pretty cheap too.  You can by them individually or as one of three sets like above.
