Try RPGNow

I also liked this sourcebook, which is particularly cheap just now. Plus it has detailed street maps.

Hope this helps
Cheers

I now its 10 years later than you're asking but a chap called Charles Booth published a poverty map of London in 1898, it's very detailed and interesting. Here's a link to one of the many sources here:

http://booth.lse.ac.uk/cgi-bin/do.pl?sub=view_booth_and_barth&args=531000,180400,6,large,5

Also, below is a good source for old maps for anywhere in the UK. If you search for a specific part of London (say Whitechapel) you can interact with the map, click on the 'enhanced zoom' bar on the map and zoom in for quite a detailed street map. Once you've chosen the area you want a column on the right hand side gives you the dates of maps available. I use this one quite a bit for university work.

Hope this helps.

Andy, that's a decent link that is. I think I'll have one of those

I have this one, which is pretty good:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bacons-Up---Date-London-1902/dp/1873590237/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1294588903&sr=8-1

I second the recommendation for the one from RPG now, which is great (I'm a bit of a map geek...)

And try this site:

http://london1878.com

It is also accessible through the London Map page at the MAPCO website:
