Saw's Rebels/ alliance Spec Ops.

So WEG rebels are a bit thin on the ground really  (one pose for Hoth, a few fleet troopers and some Endor commandos) few others who could pass as in the bounty hunter range but none that would really fit with my plans.

Since Rogue One though I've wanted to do a few insurgent rebels and alliance Spec Ops. The visual guide is a great red so armed with that a healthy selection of minis and nice sharp blades I went to work.

Managed to get hold of a load of Ral Patha 25mm sci-fi minis which were perfectly scaled and great fonors/blank canvases. Also again added in some more dreamforge equipment and weapons and some GAG 25mm minis too I've been able to create unique Rebel guerillas and Spec ops:

Biker scout and Stormtrooper helmets 'donated to the insurgent cause.
Hoth trooper headswops onto Ral Paths bodies.
Endor leía plus hoth trooper hat swop and imperial blaster conversion = Jen Erso.
Hoth Han plus dreamforge kit = Cassian.

Got around thirty done now. Ready for paint.

Well of course: standard trooper armour couldn't but the magma trooper armour was specially designed to withstand extremely high temperatures, including some direct contact with volcanic magma. The armor was reinforced with Duravlex, and is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures of up to 1,900 degrees centigrade.

And stone chucking spacebears! Incinerator units + tree houses = charcoal. 😈

Seeing how 25mm look on the pad:

Regular TK's, Magma Troopers and Vader now grace the pad. (There's a Shadow guard conversion in there too). Gotta paint 16 Royal guard, 3 shadow guard, another Emperor and finish off two ATST's, 3 DSC,three gunners, two tie pilots and probe droid.
