Nice work Commander.
The new pose of the R2 really did him justice. ;)

Cheers all.

Remember these:

Finished em:

Just need to base them up, using some of Fenris Games recessed resin bases on these, let you know how I get on.

Great R2 conversion, it looks so much more dynamic than the original.

Just finished R-3PO: (Red protocol droid from Echo Base):

A few crates from Fenris games, some other hoth themed scenery from Ainsty Castings, some more fenris/snow bases and that eastykit ATT I bought this afternoon. Anything to avoid watching this is it and casualty! ;)

Pics tomorrow.

Pics today:

Easykit AAT (as it came out of the box, not bad but will weather it up abit if I keep it, still deciding).

Crates and themed Hoth generators/markers etc... (Ainsty and Fenris Games resin pieces)

Rebased snowtroopers:

Not enough light to take a good pic of R-3PO tonight so will try to do this over the next few.

Cheers all.

Going to start on a few astromechs this week, and R3 and R4 conversions if time allows, a few more snowtroopers too now I've based them.

Keep you all posted.

Isn't it obvious? He has a contract with the Kaminoans to clone figures.  :-)

;)

Seriously though I've been collecting these for a good few years, bolstered by a few very useful contacts of late.

Thanks all.

Good on you.

Well apart from digging out my starwars fact file ring binders from the attic, (issues 1-93 four binders worth of stuff!  :o) and cursing that I forgot about them when I've spent hours on 'tinerweb looking for painting references, I've also started to clean up my AT-AT, (Revell easykit) might start the build tomorrow night.... ;)

I'm loving your work on this project.  Some really great paint jobs on some old miniatures that don't have the same kind of detail as today's minis, but you are making them look fantastic.
