I always love to see those old minis. I recognise a few of them from years gone by.
One of my old D&D mates told me he still has about 200 of my old figures packed away in his shed. I'd love to break them out just for rememberance.

Thanks.

That is the relatively rare freebie mail order duck that you got from sending a voucher from the Runequest boxed sets in. One of my favorite duck minis!

Love to see this old stuff again..I started collecting in about 1981 and still remember the first citadel open day in Nottingham..wandering around all the casting machines and speaking to the artists. Heady days for a ten year old..

Here's an old pic I found

Space squats.  Sounds like an aerobic exercise.

Never got to Nottingham during those days.  Furthest I ever ventured was Warlords games store in Southend.  Wish I had kept all my old figures from those days... I gave them to mates before I emigrated.  I must have had hundreds, because I am still trying to replace the ones I had, and keep finding familiar silhouettes popping up on ebay.
Back then I had a skeleton army, a chaos army full of dwarves, thugs, sorcerers, familiars, centaurs and beast men, skaven bloodbowl team, skaven army, eldar skirmish group, space marines up the wazoo and an army of them boxed set plastics and buckets of single limited editions and quirky things- astounding amounts now I look back, considering its a part of my life I totally exorcised when I discovered girls and moved to Australia.  I arrived with just a citadel warlock mini and a grenadier halfling that won me third prize at the Southend Virgin Game Store Grenadier painting comp (which I cannot now find for the life of me).

Mind you, figures back then where dirt cheap.:)

Don't recognise the wolf but superb job on the fur - any tips?

The eyes on the vicious wolf are spot on!

Cracking work on the monsters and assorted fighters too - who's left to go to complete the monster set?

Corking stuff, Dave - but why on god's green earth did you decide to paint that talisman necromancer's skin green? =D

Have it primed and ready for paint, just need my ongoing time sucking black hole of an ass project to go down in a burst of flames so I can go home on vacation and forget all about it. =)
